Supreme: The North Face fall/winter 2010 + Popeye first looks

The North Face
These are from the Supreme vol. 6 book. These scans are via Alternative. The shots highlight a Waxed Cotton parka and duffel. It seems Supreme did no custom cut in the fit department, but only did a color combination and material choice in this creation. The addition of the diagonal cross-strap on the duffel makes this a possibility for purchase from me if the price is reasonable. The price seems to be 33,600 or 33,800 yen. This is  the Japan market price,  which is always inflated when converted to the United States dollar, so expect a lower domestic price.

POPEYE
The first two photos are a M65 with screen-print on the back. The third photo is the Popeye tee. Both articles use the same graphic. The fourth photo is from Ollie mag in Japan. This contains a different graphic on a basic pullover hoody. There is a tale that this collaboration was rushed as well, due o the copyright expiring in January somehow.
38,850 yen for the parka.

38 39

xSo this entry contains two nights. Thursday night and Friday.

38
Thursday was pretty lame. I took the bus to Franklin and Hennepin and og of there. It was a pretty chillly morning. I go on a walk down Franklin east to Lyndale. I decided to not take my bike. I did not have my lock with me. I would have had to go home to get my lock, and then go bike to the liquor store if I wanted to bike, so that would have taken much longer. I walked south on Lyndale off to twenty-sixth street to hit up Hum's Liquor as they were on of the closer places that had Four Loko, my goal for the night.

Four Loko is a twenty three and a half ounce can of 'get-shit-faced' drink. It has caffeine and taurine blended with alcohol. It comes in nine fruity flavors with more on the way after votes by consumers. This is nothing new, alcohol with caffeine. Before, there was the Jag-bomb (Jagermeister in a shot thing surrounded by Red Bull) or Vodka-Redbulls. People mixed alcohol, a depressant, with caffeine, a stimulant. This is dangerous apparently as professionals or experts somewhere in the world of not mine, testified that alcohol accelerates caffeine's effect some magical way with thinger magic leading to an increased heart rate and blood pressure, possibly resulting in cardiac arrests, also known as a heart attack. So what is the relevance to Four Loko? Four Loko is twenty three and a half ounces. The alcohol by volume is twelve percent as well! This is much more than usual beer, which is like six to eight percent. A study said that the amount of beers and coffees that the can translates to is six beers and five coffees. The price is what appeals to many as well. The price of these range from two dollars and fifty cents to three dollars. You can get drunk for that much?! Invention of the Year award?

I get there and they only have the Fruit Punch flavor:( The price for each one was two fifty nine plus tax. The total for three were eight fifty four. There was one more left in the cooler after I grabbed my three. I went up on twenty fourth from Hum's by the Super America and am plastering Vs. stickers along the way. I get to Hennepin and walk along that to drop into Studiiyo23 and looked around to check out things. He got some new WESC and consignment and other knick-knacks. I left soon after and walked along Hennepin. I was jamming to my iPodge and stickering more. I ran out of stickers near Red Savoy pizza, which was about a block or two past Studiiyo23. The jamming to the music was keeping me warm while walking to Calhoun Square area. I ended up getting some food around ten thirty which is what time I arrived at Chinatown, by CVS Pharmacys(think pricier Walgreens). I ordered the beef fried rice small size. The price was like four fifty eight. I ate that and watched some of The Wire or the end of the Lottery Ticket, I do not remember. I fail at remembering things after a day or so pretty badly/vaguely. I talked to Anna about random shit. She is a freshmen at the University who is into Supreme and other of the likes. She is taking this printmaking class that I took before flunking my ass out. She is spending many hours in the lab classroom there as well, that sucks. I ended up spending some overnight all-nighters there before. She lives in Bailey Hall in Saint Paul though, which is wack as she has to take a Campus Commuter half an hour to get to the East bank for classes. I think thats all for this day.

39
Friday was a good day. I wake up to getting the Kid Cudi album leaking, in one some of the highest quality, three hundred and twenty kilobytes per second bitrate. The album is like an Ambien. The album sounds very similar to the first one. Nothing is too drastic an improvement in my mind. I have not listened to it like very well yet though. N.E.R.D. dropped an album as well, Nothing. I listened to that. I like it. I like Chad Hugo, Pharrell Williams, and Shay doing the rock, pop, hip-hop, and jazzy vibe. The guys all play their own instruments. I am jealous of this dude, Shay. It seems like he does nothing in the group, except partial vocals, and gets paid mad bucks. The Social Network, Scott Pilgrim, and Inception movies are all on deck. All those movies DVD-Screeners came out:) I am most stoked for the Inception screener.

I began playing with my camera this day as well. I brought a Four with me to work. I grabbed a gyro along with a free soft drink. I finished that and then began with the Four. It hits fucking HARD. That shit is like a  long island ice tea on steroids. Good and sweet tasting and then it hits you in the chest. I think I drank it with too small amount of food in my stomach. A friend Karla said this, "The first sip was 'eww', the second sips being getting better, by the third I was 'come at me bro!'" hahahaha. This was a perfect representation of the stages of Four. After drinking some of it, I was feeling it at work. I was too trashed to do the bike ride, fuck that. I went though only a third of that can. I got home and chilled a little bit. I was going to go to BOMP, which was at Nick & Eddie's this month. The place is small. I was ironing my button up and my lab coat since they were wrinkly. I biked over there. I had two Summit beer bottles through the night. I saw some friends, and then many randoms. Most of the randoms were college kids that were eighteen to twenty. I think most of that crowd was actually doing drugs of some kind. It felt too much like a rave. I was dancing here and there, and playing with my new camera. The only downside I felt with it that rated most low was because of the lens cap. The lens cap has to be removed each time instead of a retractable type one. I grabbed a Pabst Blue Ribbon for Jules and Mel as well, they showed up there pretty late ha. The beer was like a belated gift for Mel as her birthday was the day before. I get on my bike and head over to Sawatdee Express. That place is like a lifesaver for me. It is cheaper than Caffrey's subs as well. I get the beef pad thai, and get hooked up with a HUGE portion. I hit up home, watch some of The Wire, then snooze at a ungodly time that I have no idea of. Pictures coming soon, chronologically of course as always. Editing takes time an other random shits.

RRL Tiger Varsity. Leg-end......ARY!

MSRP:¥93,450

Boots Boner

C Store x Viberg Bobcat Boots via Hypebeast
C Store teamed up with Viberg on a classic version of the bootmakers Bobcat style, utilizing three different shades of brown. Ice Mocha, brown, and tan make up the uppers, while beige Vibram outsoles add a nice touch of contrast. The boots feature top notch construction with thick leathers and triple stitching throughout. Only 15 pairs were produced, all available soon through C Store.

Personally these are amazing. It has the round toe with brown oiled leather, nubuck heel and tongue that sticks out, and black quarter panel leather. The popular seasonal Vibram outsole, like the ubiquitous waffle or herringbone outsole pattern, with front double-stitched welt sole, covering the whole bottom, appear on these complete the shoe. The final detail noticed is the quadruple-needle stitching on the forefoot, whereas most boots of recent contain only three. The Nike Air Zoom Lebron Soldier basketball shoe is the last shoe I remember with this reinforcement construction. I expect lildavid of Hypebeast forums to wear these soon seeing as he is one of the employees for the C Store. I only have one picture, but by going to the link highlighted above, you can see further detail shots. MSRP 499EU

FEIT Moc Mid X Ray 1 Boot via Highsnobiety
“The Moc Mid X Ray is built on a transparent sole, which highlights the custom Feit Hand Sewn Good Year construction, as well as the shoe’s internal components.
The transparent brings 3 major internal components into plain view – the bamboo shank, cork foot bed and thread weave.

The natural bamboo shank used in the mid foot provides strength and support where it is most needed. The cork foot bed is an all-natural, lightweight material used for absorption and flexibility. The thread weave can be seen travelling in and out, around the printer of the sole. Each stitch is hand sewn, joining the upper the sole. This technique provides maximum strength, flexibility and breathability. It is an age-old footwear construction greatly lost in footwear today, replaced, unfortunately, by cheaper cemented constructions.”

Available in Kudu cream leather as well. FEIT is one of the most impressive brands I watch and whenever they speak, I listen. FEIT shoes are sold only through their online store, in extremely limited quantities. There is a functional creative design to their products. The tier system of cost is rewarding as well. If you pre-order the shoes before production begins, you get the cheapest price possible. As it goes into production mode, the price goes up. When the shoes are all cut, the price goes up again. You pay the price for sleeping on great shoes and innovation, no imitation. Quality in the right quantity.

I did not eat shit after breakfast yesterday. I got home and wanted some pad thai, but when I got off the bus, the place's door was locked. It was cold and really windy last night. This morning I saw some smaller tree pulled out of its roots while taking the bus. The wind was bending the trees last night pretty hard without breaking them. I felt it like it was a push by someones hands. I did not feel the wind on my body though since the Supreme North Face Expedition is 3L and windproof and heavily water-resistant. I bought that shit for like under half of retail. I get home and order two pizzas from Dominos. I ordered two two-topping mediums. One of them had sausage and bacon on a hand-tossed crust, while the other was thin crust with Italian sausage and mushroom slices. I fucked up by ordering the thin crust and did not realize it until I got it and opened the lid. The delivery driver was cool with the parmesan cheese and the crushed red peppers packets. I killed at least one of the pizzas. I was unable to get the free Cinnastix though since the code did not work online. I tried to get it and some reason my order would not go through. Once I removed the Cinnastix, it allowed my order to go, but I tried to add it after removing it, and then it said it was already used. I was able to track the process of the pizza from prep to bake to delivery, that was cool, the online tracking. It is a crazy system. I watched episodes of The Wire and ate the slices. I went to sleep about one thirty I think, I do not remember. I am amazed I remember the amount of things I just typed because I did not remember much of it after thinking about what to write for today's entry while I was on the bus.

The Boy Illinois - Inhale Part 3 Mixtape.

Chicago hip-hop is alive and well in the after Kanye-era. The Boy Illinois drops his third mixtape entitled as in my headline title. If you have not done yet, go the http://www.theboyillinois.com and download the first two segments. Listen to them front to back. After listening, download part three. You can notice the progression along the production and emceeing in your ears and mind. You can even see the evolution in the covers alone, from a boy to a man, as best to say it. He even has a new website as well now as you will notice from his site. He goes from rapping over others productions and in a sense forcing his flow onto others to original productions where the production and lyrics with his flow are meshed today co-existing harmoniously.

He raps about real life as usual. There is the sterotypical hip-hop things about glorifying of materialism and talking bullshit, but it seems to be about things that are a little deeper slightly. The concept and layout of tracks link to each other smoothly.

I watched the majority of the football game I think ast night. I talked to Anna via Facebook chat for a little while. I ordered a Blue Cow and potato salad from Caffrey's. I tried calling there three times, and each time it was busy and there was no pick-up. I was getting ready to order two two-topping medium pizzas from Dominos after chatting with Nate and Drew on AIM. The fourth time I called, they answered. I ate my Blue Cow and watched The Switch with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. It was a lame rom-com. The premise was interesting, but the overall was lame. I am sad for whoever paid to see this crap. I watched The Wire earlier at work and finished that, then queued up the torrents for season four before going to bed. I went to bed pretty quickly around midnight or one in the morning. I remember walking in the rain three blocks from the bus stop to my place at night, that shit sucked as it was raining pretty hard. I do not know much what else to write except my mind just had a brain fart and I am closing work now.

My trip to New York City is delayed as well thanks to Vince's return being delayed as well.
FUCK.

So I have about thirty or so minutes to finish this now. It will be midnight by then.
Sunday night, I rode my bike home. It was dark as fuck by closing time. I went fuck. I was upset, because it was Sunday and it is my day where I get off early. I talked to Dave Brewer aka soGold for a while. I talked to him for about an hour before closing. He had to get his new BlackBerry with the trackpad.

I rode home and chilled there for awhile, before heading to Popeye's. I grabbed the ten piece chicken bucket or whatever and Cajun Rice side with Louisiana hot sauce for the chicken. I get this and go home to watch the Vikings versus Packers football game. I surf the internet and Twitter and Facebook and AOL instant message people. The Viking's game was a crazy emotional roller coaster. It was up and down. The Vikings eventually lost unfortunately. I watched an episode of The Wire, then slept. I went to sleep at about eleven or midnight about. I ended up not finishing the ten pieces of chicken as well. I got down to two left. I was stuffed. My Sunday was in and in bed mostly. I loved it.

I did find out Vince is going to be in Korea for a little longer now as well. FUCK. The downside of this is that I have to work more and delays my trip to New York City.

Yesterday was interesting. I ended up going to Honey for a dance night event. I was supposed to catch the eleven o'clock, but ended up catching the seventeen, a new bus for me, from eleven forty four at the Transit Center to University and third street. I walked after that. I got to Honey about half past midnight. Mel was walking to the bus as well since she missed the early bus and her bus ended up being it's usual lateness. I was sort of in a lethargic state due to the night before. I get to Honey and have just a Summit. I run into many familiar faces. The music played mash-up style or whatever. A chorus or two with a verse or so, and then the next song was mixed in instead of a whole song. I felt like it was for drunk people with short attention spans. I keep running into people I can not remember the face to who they are well, but when I do see them, I know who they are frequently. That last sentence was kind of confusing. Well, I just chilled and casually danced, not as hard as usual, just feeling out the music and shits. Jannine and Emily were there with friends. It was the first time I had seen the two in awhile. The two have been busy with school and shit I guess. Well, Jannine has school, Emily is living off unemployment until next year due to her acceptance into Medical or Graduate school, I forget which one it was. Either way, it is a congratulations to her. Jimmy2times was in town from New York City as well. He played a set. I heard King Otto, Mike2600, and Jimmy2times each play a set, but not Shannon Blowtorch, whom I saw around as well.

At the end of the night, it was raining outside HARD. I got a ride from Emily driving with Jannine. I got Emily to give Mel a ride home as well since it was sort of on the way to my place and their places. I got asked if "Are you feeling her?" question again from Emily like many others. I just say "She is just a good friend". I am at that point in my life where a relationship of sorts is not possible unless I am able to divulge my situation which is kind of complicated and elaborate right now to be able to trust someone that much. She ran into her place which had the rain water up to her ankles. It look like she was sinking. I on the other hand called Sawatdee Express a little earlier to get an order of pad thai ready for me since it was raining so hard. We drove to the front of it, and I hop out and run in. The guy says do not worry about paying, on the house. I went holy shit. That was bomb as fuck. I think it was because the credit machine was batched out or he was lazy. I notified him that it was the Khmer dude that always comes in over the phone when I ordered. It might even be he is gay and this is his way of getting on my good side. He does wear a nice ass Ralph Lauren utility blue chambray. I get a ride home and destroy the pad thai while watching the majority of an episode of The Wire. Mel apparently ordered an Athena immediately from Pizza Luce when she got home. She ate two slices and passed the fuck out. She had like a hell of a lot of drinks, but did not feel drunk apparently.

URSUS Bape Mountain Boots Suede Holiday 2010

While the large weekly drops from A Bathing Ape sometimes seem a little overwhelming, URSUS Bape has a more relaxed pace and just an overall much smaller collection. From the Holiday 2010 Collection the new Mountain Boots Suede have been released this weekend in two colorways. They kept it very classic with these, featuring a clean suede upper, subtle branding, vintage looking lacing system and eyelets and a nice leather mid-sole. Take another look at the URSUS Bape Mountain Boots after the jump.

So I got to bike for the first time in a while last night. I ride and feel semi winded. I had a new gear ratio of forty eight sixteen. I was planning to get Four Loko, an alcoholic caffeinated taurine blend beverage. It is like twenty three and a half ounces with a twelve percent alcohol level. It comes in nine different flavors. Apparently it is dangerous because the alcohol accelerates the effects of caffeine, resulting in a much higher  heart rate and blood pressure, leading to possibly a heart attack. People drink one or a few slammed down and such or something like that, this is what the 'specialists' are afraid of. The price is significantly cheap as well. You can get like four Four Lokos for like seven dollars about. I went holy shit. You can get shit-faced for under ten bucks without having to go out.

I ended up going to Henn-Lake Liquors, and they did not have it. I race over to Lake Street Wine And Spirits to try to grab one. I get there and find out they do not have them. The Mexican tenant there said something about it being prohibited because of it's size or something. He was crazy. I ended up copping a Honey Crisp Crispin twenty two ounce. I get home and start drinking it, poured over ice. I tinychat with the Hypebeast forum dudes. I chat until I finish the Crispin, which ends up being around eleven thirty. I get on my bike and ride that to First Avenue, buzzed out. I get there and it is pretty dead for the moment. It ended up filling with friends and such to semi full and not look empty. I ate a few Gushers packets along with a few rolls of Fruit Roll Up and drank a cranberry Capri-Sun. This all got me on a sugar high through the rest of the night.

I end up dancing the nineties along with the rest of friends and people at First Avenue. I leave at like one thirty or so. I end up chilling outside at that time with some other friends and such. When I leave, I caught the two eleven bus across from Se7en. I ride that to Lake and Hennepin, then ride to Sawatdee Express to get some spicy chicken pad thai for a late night meal. I eat and watch the majority of an episode of The Wire. I end up going to sleep with a full stomach at about three thirty or so. I end up waking up a few times during my slumber to go use the bathroom.

In the morning around eight forty five to nine in the morning, I was in a half slumber and semi-nap. I dream of getting an infraction on this forum that I frequent online. It was weird. You are allowed  three infractions, once those three are received, your screen name is banned. I dreamed I had two infractions. This seem strange because I knew I only had one last time I checked, which is a few days ago. I wake up and realize this is a dream then at this time. This is the second dream I remembered and was able to blog about. Ever since Inception, the idea of where do dreams end and begin comes into mind, so a new topic of my blog posts will now be somewhat about that if I can focus hard enough to remember them and make a note as soon as they end in the mornings.. The longer that it is left unwritten about, the more likely it is to diminish.

Continuing. I planned to watch The Next Karate Kid last night. I ended up falling asleep to it again. I have short term memory. before I got home though, I dropped by Chris's place by Tiger Sushi in Uptown. It was on Lyndale Street. I fell asleep on the bus and missed the Hennepin and Lake street intersection stop. I ended up waking up at there at that intersection and getting off at the Uptown Transit Station, the next stop. I started walking to go to Chris's but saw the twenty one so I caught that at the station and rode it to Lake and Lyndale corner. I plastered Vs stickers from Lake to Tiger Sushi. Chris has a nice ass studio. His shoe/closet was pretty nice as heck as well. The place is nice. We chatted about shits for awhile. I left his place about ten or ten thirty. I plastered stickers along Lyndale and Lake street some more on the way home. I do not think I could function well without my bike, music, sneakers, and maybe, maybe caffeine.

I drink like two or three cups of caffeine a day. It gets me started. I thought about whether I should continue to even do this blogging even though I am off of my thirty for thirty days crap. I am probably going to eyedea's benefit tonight at Honey MPLS. Tomorrow night, I can finally ride my bike. I am praying it does not pop on me.

Today has been nothing but little kids. It is MEA weekend, so they have a four day weekend. I finished watching The Next Karate Kid and 500 Days Of Summer today. I have like four or five more episodes of the third season of The Wire.

iDiom Fall/Winter 2010 Collection by Highsnobiety

iDiom Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

It has been a little quite about the iDiom high end line by Burton. As far as we know the collection is still being designed by Staple Design and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design. From these first pieces out of the Fall/Winter 2010 Collection we can already tell that the direction is back on track. We were not big fans of the very colorful and bright direction that the branding was heading in these past seasons and enjoy seeing them going back to a more basic look, while concentrating on the details. While most pieces from this season come in a nice matte black/bright yellow colorway, there is also one jacket that we previewed earlier, featuring an all-over night design. The collection has now arrived at Ark.
Take a look at the iDiom Fall/Winter 2010 Collection after the jump.
