Now dont get me wrong, streetwear can essentially be labeled as "rich kids spending daddy's doughstacks" clothes, but it was moreso about the individuality than the awe factor "Look at me, I'm smashing niigggas in my peacoat!" narcissistic approach. Although the term streetwear predates 06(Polo,Nautica,Tims,etc. of the mid '90s) and the 21st century, one can only conclude in a definite manner that during the 2005-2006 year, streetwear gradually moved its "follower core" to a more mainstream marketabilty outlook with brands like The Hundreds,Stussy, and 10 Deep just to name a few, making a greater push to reach a larger more broad clientele. This inturn caused a huge influx of emos, skaters, sneakerheads, swaggerjackers, and posers to jump on the wagon immediately. You may be asking now, what pertinence does the following have to do in correlation with Hypebeast? Well in a rather vague answer: EVERYTHING. Hypebeast was/is one of the leading blogs and sites where a conglomerate of brands from various countries and backgrounds are/were brought to convey, sculpt, and define their various tastes. This enthusiastic and fascinated community opened up their arms to the new brands being bestowed and also of the older ones being ressurected onto the spotlight. This time period saw an unprecedented rise amongst the number of streetwear clothes being sold, store openings, and overall conventions and events being held. Such an angelic year ensued until roughly the start of 2008. It was this year that the drop from originality took place and it seemed to be comprised of brands being formed to regurgitate successful ideas and rehash them a 1,000 times over again.
Although this perpetual cycle of same ideas bullshit started way before the start of 2008, it is evident that the number of clones both in the "online attire" internet world and the real world was drastically revealed during this period. The amount of WDYWT '08 and later swaggerjackers meticulously scanned the various threads, pinpointing numerously deemed "cool items" and purchasing that same item the next day to gain the approval by this website and others, and also to feel a sense of accomplishment in their rather EPIC FAIL real world life and sterile upbringings. Such items like BDUs, Samarai denim, and Vans saw an abundance of newfound enthusiasts whos main goal in life is robocoppin everything awesome and faking off the appearance of being down with a particular musice genre, group, or artist, when they infact werent even born during those performer's music beginnings. What I find befuddling in this whole ordeal is the countless number of styles kids on these forums are switching from. What makes the original posters on this thread so irrate is the badgering this ensues from the younger posters acting like they know what's up. Newsflash, members on this website scuplted and shaped streetwear into what it has become. Whether it was through the Nike SB hype or a particular brand, the boat always came through Hypebeast first and then infiltrated to the other subpar websites like ISS and Niketalk.
A prime example would be the death of SBs as of like a year ago. These same swaggerjackers jumped on that ship and furthermore, caused Nike Skateboarding as a company to realize this hype which resulted in grotesque colorways for true collectors. SBs were the epitome of streetwear during 2006 to mid 2007s and it wasn't until the insurgence of Van/APC/AA hype that these shoes whithered into the abyss of our memories. The amount of swaggerjackers that signed up in 2008 and 2009 is so baffling that I find it rather repulsive. These ISS and Sufu rejects need to go back to their forementioned internet homes and stay in their place because we dont want you here. This brings up another alluring question into our hands: What are we as a community going to do about it to combat these infidels?
It is quintessentially our task as a community to lay down our foot and do whats right for potential posters to come. This epidemic is corroding what he hold to be so sacred. It is paramount that we call out kids who follow this trend and hold them accountable for their actions. People like Helgen and JKissi should be praised for both their fashion philosophy and how they go about applying their take on how people should dress. Enough of this benevolent behavior and free pass to kids. We will bring down the Luciferian whipping party if it continues to ensue, and yes, it will be in an ominous manner. Thank you for your time.

090809. Yup

So yesterday I had a pail of chocolate chip cookies from Sweet Martha's. I ate that and a quart of milk for my breakfast and lunch and most dinner. When I got back home or Vince's, demolished these spicy drummies that he got from somewhere on the way back from Chicago the night before with Cathy.
Needless to say, it was nomnomnomnom.

Soundtrack 2 My Life - Kid Cudi

Dude went heart in on this song. Best song on the album

Soundtrack To My Life Lyrics Kid Cudi

[Kid Cudi]
I got 99 problems and they all b-tches,
wish i was Jigga man,
care free livin,
but im not shawn,
or Martin Louis,
I’m that Cleveland n-gga,
rollin with them Brooklyn boy,
you know how it be when you start living large,
i control my own life,
Charles was never in charge,
no sitcom could teach Scott,
about the dram
or even explain the troubles that haunted my mom
on Christmas time
my moms Christmas grind
got most of what i wanted how’d you do it mom?
huh, she copped the toys i would play with in my room by myself
why he by himself
he got 2 older brothers 1 hood 1 good
an independent older sister kept me fly when she could
but they all didn’t see
the little bit of sadness in me

Iv’e got some issues that nobody can see
and all of these emotions are pourin outta me
I bring them to the light for you
its only right
this is the soundtrack to my life
the soundtrack to my life ohhhh

[Verse 2]
I super paranoid like a sixth sense,
since my father died I ain’t been right since,
and I tried to piece the puzzle of the universe,
split an eighth of shrooms just so I can see the universe,
I try to think about myself as a sacrifice,
just to show the kids they ain’t the only ones who up at night,
the moon will illuminate my room and soon i’m consumed by my doom,
Once upon a time nobody gave a f-ck,
it’s all said and done and my cocks been sucked,
so now im in the cut, alcohol in the wound,
my hearts an open sore that i hope heals soon
I live in a cocoon opposite of Cancun,
where it is never sunny the dark side of the moon,
so its moving right, i try to shed some light on the man,
not many people of this planet understand.

[Verse 3]
I was close to go an try some coke
and a happy ending would be slitting my throat,
ignorance the coke man, ignorance is bliss,
ignorance is love and I need that sh-t,
if i never did shows then i’ll prol be a myth
and if i cared about the blogs I’d probably be a jackass,
don’t give a sh-t what people talk about fam,
haters shake my hand but i keep the sanitizer on deck,
hope i really get to see thirty,
wanna settle down stop being so flirty,
most of the clean faces be the most dirty,
i just need a thorough bread cook when i’m hungry,
ass all chunky, brain is insanity,
only things that calm me down p-ssy and some cali tree’s,
and I get both, never truly satisfied,
I AM HAPPY, thats just the saddest lie!

Uh huh yeah
Uh huh yeah
Uh huh yeah
Uh huh yeah

State Fair.

So I haven't been to the State Fair of Minnesota for a good 10+ years. Seems to me same shit, higher cost every year. I have to agree. But there are some things at the fair that aren't everywhere, so I had to make the trip.

Up first is this huge fish made from junk. Shit was gigantic. Awesomes.

This space needle, imagine if it toppled. This thing is is seen all year round from the outside. I never been in it or ridden it yet, maybe next decade.

Saw this place. I thought they were serving bull meat. It turns out they were tenderloin tips season with this horseradish sauce. I ate it so fast, couldn't take photos.

I went a few more hundred feet, saw a sign that said Food Building. I went in. I saw this to my left and then to my right.

I had an agenda coming to the fair. This was one of the must eat things when I came tonight.

Heaven. For $5. -_-

Spiral chips, too much for 1 person.

Part 2. Pronto pups aka the corn dog. I know, you can get it at Cub foods, but not the same, its just a slight taste difference. $3.50 down.

Yum-yum. Picture after the bite.

This was a new one to me. This took the place where the arcade had been previous years. Guess video games aren't as much of a money maker or they didn't have enough money to lease the spot. This was a butterfly house where people could "interact" with different butterflies.

The Butterfly House sign.

The giant slide. Fun time.

Deep fried candy bars. A delicatessen. Snickers, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, and others.

My heaven. Cookies. Time to sugar OD

A pail, about 4 dozen. 14$. Nom nom nom.

Milk and cookies. All you can drink for $1. I had about 3 glasses and about a dozen or so before I was feeling gluttonous.

So ends my trip to the Fair. I could about last for another decade before going there. I've see most that all there is to see and spend.
