148: Judgement Night + Fader Fort

CMJ Week aka College Media Journal's week of music and arts exhibitions, well mostly music. In New York, this week consists of mad amounts of artist performances that are on the come up and want to get an outlet or their buzz out.

This night was one that was presented by Complex Media at House of Vans. The artists were of the hip-hop variety and rock or alternative genre. I was there to check out Bronsonlino, Alchemist, Purp and some of Wiki who was part of Ratking. Heineken, Coors, Smart Water, and Vitamin Water for the beverages; Souvlaki GR truck with chicken/pork/beef pitas, fries, salad, and greek salad for the main course; and topped off with the Coolhaus ice cream sandwich truck for dessert. Choose your own cookies and ice cream for the dessert. The place was also smoked out very heavily in the back. See the pictures and videos recap.

The following night consisted of Fader Fort. I went to Work first, then hit up Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg to catch the third day of Fader Fort. They had various sets at various times. I was only interested in Jhene Aiko. They served Budweiser and Captain Morgan Black for seven hours each day, for four days in a row. She was too lovely; I think I have more pictures and videos but they are on my memory card to be uploaded.
